1862 April 21
Today the horses of the 1st N.J. F. Co. 1st N.Y. and our battery were disembarked, and picketed ashore. The men and horses will go ashore n the morning. the rain has been pouring in torrents all day re^'n'dering all around cold and uncomfortable.
