1862 June 24

Were turned out at three A. M as the
rebs have kept up a brisk musketry
fire all night on our picket line,
which led us to beleive that we would
be attacked at day light. Remained
in harness until 9 A. M when all being
very quiet, we unharnessed. During the
evening had another severe thunder
shower. The day was pleasant and
very warm.
